We help clients that need assistance from senior lawyers, but are not yet at the stage they have, or can afford to hire one permanently, or they may not need a fully functional in-house legal team; they need a general counsel for certain projects or matters; and/or they need strategic advice, for example:

• Start-ups, scale-ups or small corporates (including fintechs) are often not at the point they need or can afford the overhead costs of hiring a fully functional in-house legal team with senior lawyers to negotiate commercial contracts or assist with ensuring IT solutions meet the requirements of the industry.

• HNW clients and family offices may invest in Products, or require the negotiation of commercial contracts, but have no in-house lawyers or senior lawyers with the right expertise, to review transaction documents, commercial agreements and manage external law firms.

• Larger corporates and Buy-Side institutions such as asset managers as well as private equity firms, venture capital firms or commodity brokerage firms may need senior in-house lawyers or a general counsel.

• Banks may need scalable resourcing of their in-house legal teams to meet the fluctuating demands of the front office and a Consult Counsel, senior in-house lawyer can hit the ground running, can operate without supervision and add value across a range of transactions from the start.

These clients may only need assistance on an ad hoc basis for a given project or transaction; may not want a permanent hire as an overhead cost; may only need this resource until they grow enough to warrant a fully functioning in-house legal team; or may only need the resources for a busy period. We can help such clients by offering vetted senior in-house lawyers to manage their legal risk, review transactions, negotiate commercial contracts, manage external law firms and address any legal issues in a cost effective, flexible way so that we can be called upon as and when needed and not be an overhead expense. We help to free up client's staff so they can be deployed on generating business and not doing what an in-house lawyer should be doing for them.
